Pratumnak Beach
Nestled in a picturesque bay between Pattaya and Jomtien is the wonderful Pratumnak beach. Unlike some of its bigger brothers, the beach at Pratumnak is one of the cleanest in the area and easy to get to thanks to the shaded footpath under the trees.
If you are adventurous you can walk from Pratumnak beach right to Jomtien beach via Pattaya Park and Dongtan beach. Pratumnak is a lot quieter than Pattaya or Jomtien beaches and is ideal for families and young children, there are even allocated safe swimming areas away from jet skis etc.
If you get bored sun bathing or swimming then Pratumnak offers a great rocky area which many locals use to try their hand at fishing and catching their dinner. For others there is no difficulty finding food and drink as there are many vendors around the beach selling food and drink.
The best way of getting to Pratumnak beach is by heading down Pratumnak Soi 5 or 6 off Thappraya Road.
Cosy Beach
One of Pattaya’s hidden gems is Cosy beach in Pratumnak. Situated at the bottom of a small cliff the beach is accessible via some rather steep steps. The southern tip of the beach has a rocky outcrop and is great for fishing.
The sand is quite coarse but is well maintained plus it does not get a great number of visitors and stays pretty clean. Cosy beach is not the ideal beach for children, except at low tide, but it is great for adults who want peace and quiet.
There is limited seating available with shade but just take your own beach mat with you and there is not a problem.
Above Cosy beach there is an array of great cafes, restaurants and places to eat and drink such as the Sky Gallery and the Chocolate Factory. Many of these great places have outdoor seating areas so you can sit outside and watch the sunset over Koh Larn in Pattaya Bay sipping a chilled cocktail.
